Headache and neck pain
Neck complaints can have different causes. In this text we will talk about how neck complaints can arise. People often experience neck complaints due to bad posture. You often see that the neck muscles support the head completely while they are not strong enough. The neck muscles (M. trapezius descendens) attach to the back of the head. That is why neck complaints can result in headaches. Also, you can observe a higher tension in these muscles when you are stressed.
Physiotherapy and head/neck complaints:
Because the neck muscles are tense, we will first focus on relaxing these muscles. This can be done with massage and/or dry needling. Furthermore, we will do some exercises to improve your posture. Last, we can use kinesio tape which would be applied to let the body feel which posture it needs to attain.
